I’m thinking about what I’m gonna put on the Volvo after the engine swap. I’m leaning towards something relatively inexpensive. But with a good look. I’m pulling inspiration for the front end from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

This may be a stupid question but do you mean one of those miner style flashlights with a headband, the actual headlights for your car, extra lights like on rally cars or something else entirely?

Main front headlights, as the car is gonna be less then pure volvo. (Porsche seats, Nissan driveline at least) I figure why not let people know it’s a hybrid from the word go?
Also I’ll prob put some fog lights and / or light bar on the hood too

Big rectangular light bar all the way across.

I like the floating round double headlights. Maybe find some that fit into the confines of your stock housing and fabricate a surround?

It’s for the wife’s escape, she lacks depth perception

They make light bars with lenses that give them a cutoff so you don’t blind other people.

Stock housings going away so that’s not a issue. I like the look of those, I wonder if I can buy just some look alike housings

You mean like sealed beams or H4 conversions?
If you get regular sealed beams, the GE Nighthawk is the only one worth buying. By far the best option is price is a concern.
The best choice, if you have the money, is the JW Speaker LED headlight conversion.
And a good mid-tier sealed beam H4 is the Hella E-code

The whole reason for the Integrale switching to four smaller headlamps was to let more air in for cooling purposes. I imagine that was also the idea of the gentleman with the Volvo estate in the link. So yes, why not? Don’t bother with surrounds or keep them to a minimum... and try to duct that incoming air towards somewhere useful?

In my state yes because no one cares. It’s totally illegal.

Yeah someone else suggested jeep after market lights, those look like they may do the trick, in a fashion similar to what you posted

Great info, depending on price I may do one of those options

I have to know, why the engine choice?

Cause engine + all electrical bits = 100
